By accessing or using AchieveMate ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free users and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

AchieveMate is a career development platform that provides resume analysis, ATS compatibility checking, job-resume fit scoring, resume building tools, interview preparation, and career development resources.

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use AchieveMate.

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You may not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial of premium features. The trial begins when you create an account and enter payment information. You will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel.

Paid Subscriptions

• Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annual)
• Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' notice
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• You retain access to premium features until the billing period ends
• After cancellation, your account reverts to free tier access

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Upload or share illegal, offensive, or harmful content
• Use the Service to discriminate, harass, or harm others
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise our security
• Use automated scripts or bots without permission
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize our Service without authorization
• Upload resumes or documents you do not have rights to
• Use the Service to generate spam or fraudulent content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Violation of these policies may result in immediate account termination.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

• You retain ownership of all resumes, cover letters, and other content you create or upload
• You grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and display your content to provide the Service
• We may use anonymized versions of your content to improve our AI models
• You represent that you have the right to upload and share your content

Our Platform

• AchieveMate owns all rights to the platform, software, algorithms, and design
• Our trademarks, logos, and branding are protected intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on our platform

Limitations of AI

• AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete results
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
• Do not rely solely on AI feedback for critical career decisions
• Human judgment should always supplement AI recommendations

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with external services (e.g., Stripe for payments, Anthropic for AI). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms on this page and sending email notification to registered users for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion option in settings or emailing hello@achievemate.ai.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent behavior, fail to pay subscription fees, or create risk or legal liability for AchieveMate. Upon termination, your access to premium features ends immediately.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through informal negotiation, mediation, and binding arbitration if necessary.
